Maritime Tentech merged with its sister company, Maritime Hydraulics, under the name Aker MH in the year 2000 and re-focused on offshore drilling solutions and moved away from FPSO technology.
From 2000 onwards Aker MH expanded its market potential into a larger segment of the drilling engineering, equipment and service business in the international arena. In 2014, Aker Solutions was separated in two parts, by a demerger and launch a new holding company named Akastor, which included Aker MH in its portfolio. Aker MH was re-named MHWirth in the same process.
In 2020, the year of our 40th anniversary, MHWirth has re-established its engineering division as a separate entity under the name Frontica Engineering with focus on a wider market that includes renewable energy. We have kept its specialized engineering focus throughout the changing times. The legacy from NRC and our founders has been maintained in the organization and our references are considered outstanding.
Today Frontica Engineering has a highly skilled permanent multidisciplinary staff of 100 individuals, all experts in their engineering field and with significant experience in collaboration and complex project execution.
